he WLA-5000APv2 is a 802.11a/b/g multi-function AP that is designed to operate in the 5GHz or 2.4Ghz spectrum. It feature firmware with adjustable ACK value and detachable antenna that makes it suitable for long distance application also. With Athero's Super-A and Super-G mode, it is possible to run up to 108mbps* wireless speed.
Operates in 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz spectrum
The AP can operate in 802.11a, b, or g mode. When it is in the 802.11a mode, it operates in the much quieter 5GHz spectrum. Comparing to other indoor 802.11a/b/g solutions, the AirLive WLA-5000AP features detachable antenna and firmware with adjustable ACK timing. So you can pair it with higher gain antenna and go the extra distance. OvisLink Corp. further improve the 802.11a output signal to 17dB for better performance.
AP, WDS, Client, and WISP mode
The standard firmware comes with Client mode. But we also include the AP and WISP firmware in the CD, so users can upgrade the firmware through the web interface for client mode application. When the AP is in WDS mode, it can work as a Bridge between 2 LANs. Or as a WDS Repeater to extend the wireless coverage. The WISP mode is similar to Client Mode. But IP sharing function is added so you can share the WISP connection with many PCs.
Long Distance Firmware
When you purchase an AirLive product, your product feature doesn't usually just end with the purchase*. We usually listen to the customer and provide added functions by upgrading the firmware features . The latest firmware provided functions for long distance application. The RSSI shows the receiver sensitivity in dBm values so users can align their antenna correctly. The ACK calculator helps the customer to determine the correct value for certain distance to improve the speed in long range applications. At last, the TX power regulation can reduce the output power to comply with the legal limit.
108Mbps Turbo Mode, Watchdog and SNMP support
When using it with other 802.11a product with Atheros chipset, the AP can achieve 108Mbps*. For software features, it has UPnP(Universal Plug-n-Play) for easy operation with UPnP devices and Microsoft Windows. The 802.1d Spanning Tree Protocol prevents loop creation in the WDS mode. Watchdog function monitor the AP activity and reboot if system failure is detected. The SNMP v1/v2/v2c support allow administrator to central manage the AP from remote.
CE Certified
The Airlive WLA-5000AP is CE certified with TPC and DFS compliance. So you can use its special software function and hardware configuration legally in Europe.
Whether it's for office or home environment, the AirLive 802.11abg family bring you the maximum performance and security for today's high speed wireless network.
